I never actually got round to seeing this version, I don't think. I believe I have it taped back home.
It's very good. This one takes place in the 40s ... like he novel. The other Robert Mitchum Marlowe film directed by Michael Winer is a remake of THE BIG SLEEP, but it takes place in late 70s London. Crazy idea.
